Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients: 
  •  1/2 Cup butter
  • 1/2 Cup margarine
  • 1 Cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 Cup granulated sugar(refined sugar)
  • 1 Teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 Teaspoon ground cinnamon(optional)
  • 1/2 Teaspoon salt
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 Cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 Cups rolled oats
Procedure:
  1. Preheat oven to 375*F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine butter and margarine. Add brown sugar, granulated sugar,baking soda, cinnamon(if using), and salt. Beat until well mixed. Beat in eggs and vanilla. beat in as much of the flour as you can with the mixer. stir in any remaining flour. Stir in rolled oats.
  3. Drop dough by rounded teaspoons 2 inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet. bake in preheated oven for 7 to 9 minutes or until tops are golden. Let cookies stand on cookie sheet for 1 minute. Transfer to a wire rack; let cool.
